Integration
Business Central integration
Integrations with Dynamics 365 Business Central in .NET: orders, customers, inventory and finance kept in sync with web shops, CRM and line-of-business systems.
Business Central is the ERP many mid-sized businesses run on, and it's where orders, inventory and finance end up. The data often comes from somewhere else though: a web shop, a CRM or a line-of-business system. I build the links that get it in without manual transfer.
What can be connected
- Sales orders and invoices from a web shop or your own system
- Customers and vendors
- Items, prices and stock levels
- Purchase orders and receipts
- Finance figures out to reporting
Access and setup
Business Central has a REST API used with an app registration in Entra ID. If you need fields or logic the standard API doesn't have, custom API pages can be added in an extension.
Common questions
- Is Business Central the same as Dynamics 365?
- Business Central is the ERP part of the Dynamics 365 family. Sales and customer service live in the Dynamics 365 CRM apps, and the two can be connected.
- Can you connect Business Central to our web shop?
- Yes. Items and stock can flow out to the shop, and orders can come back as sales orders.
- Do you work with on-premises or cloud?
- Both, but the cloud version is the easiest to integrate with. On-premises needs the API exposed in a safe way.
