Technologies
ASP.NET Core for web APIs, Entity Framework Core for data access, SQL Server and PostgreSQL for storage. I work with Blazor for interactive server-rendered UIs, and I'm experienced with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB).
What to expect
Well-structured code with proper dependency injection, configuration management, and testing. I write code that reads well, handles errors gracefully, and ships with the documentation and deployment scripts needed to run it.
How I approach it
I usually build as a modular monolith, because one well-bounded deployable beats a distributed system that a small team has to operate at three in the morning. On a green-field build the shape of the domain matters more than the framework: getting the model right early is what decides whether the fifth feature takes a day or a fortnight.
On an existing codebase the first job is usually to make it safe to change. Tests around the parts that earn money, the worst coupling broken, then the actual work. I also take on the builds other people have backed away from, whether that's legacy .NET, a system whose original author has left, or something that works but that nobody dares touch.
