The Problem
The client needed to stake cryptocurrency across several blockchain subnets but didn't have the technical background to manage the process manually. Monitoring balances, reacting to network changes, and extracting profits required constant attention - not sustainable for someone without a DevOps setup. They needed a hands-off solution that would run reliably around the clock.
The Approach
Built a suite of Python scripts that interact directly with the blockchain SDK to automate staking, monitoring, and profit extraction. Deployed everything on a cloud VM with systemd services for automatic restarts and crash recovery. Added email-based alerting for balance changes and daily performance summaries so the client stays informed without needing SSH access. Kept the architecture simple and maintainable — no unnecessary frameworks or dependencies.
The Outcome
The client received a fully operational system staking across 7 subnets with zero manual intervention required. Daily reports land in their inbox, alerts fire on any anomalies, and profits are automatically routed to their exchange. The entire solution was delivered with a handover document covering operations, troubleshooting, and credentials.
